I was puzzled too by the announcement of Maxent reading grd-files. It
would be a nice feature, but haven't found it to be working in 3.2.1.
The grd-output file format was already available in the previous
version.
Could one of the developers please clarify this issue?

Always take a look at the file in wordpad or notepad to make sure excel didn't put in trailing commas anywhere. This can mess things up. Haven't tried grid files.
