maxent.jar

Hi,
I am unable to access the maxent.jar file nad it is not called
maxent.zip, what other reasons can cause this problem?

Do you have java installed on your computer? If not, go here:
http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp and download it. Then you should be
able to access maxent.jar. That may be the issue.

Hi Erica,

I had the exact same issue.

You just need to change the working directory with command "cd". It depends on where you put your maxent folder. 

For me, it's "cd ~/Documents/maxent". Then "java -mx512m -jar maxent.jar" should work fine.
