Hey group,

I wanted to inform everyone that the new and redesigned R package ENMeval 2.0 is now officially out: https://twitter.com/ndimhypervol/status/1395086587239702528?s=20

ENMeval allows for automated complexity tuning and evaluations of ecological niche models and species distribution models with a single function call. This is a great alternative to using the Maxent GUI for determining optimal feature classes and regularization multipliers for your data. It's also much more reproducible.

Please check out the paper, which is free to read but still looks rough because the proofs are not complete: https://doi.org/10.1111/2041-210X.13628

This version has customizable objects to specify ENM algorithms and their settings (besides Maxent -- includes a BIOCLIM climate envelope example), comprehensive metadata output, null model evaluations, expanded visualization tools, and better flexibility for different data types (i.e., can run without rasters, etc.).

Please post any questions you have about the pkg here and I'll try to answer them all.

By the way, in R you can install ENMeval 2.0 with:
install.packages("ENMeval")

And here are the links to CRAN and Github (dev version):
