"No Species Selected" Error on Background Test. help!

Hello all,

I'm trying to do a background test using an ascii mask. As far as I know all my files are ok since I had a previous problem to do with editing on excel which I have since solved.

ENMtools runs but as soon as maxent opens I get an error message saying "No species selected". If I say OK to the message, it then selects species and runs for a while before stopping again with a similar message.

I've attached the output code from command prompt as well as the maxent error message details below.

Any suggestions or help would be hugely appreciated. Really need to sort this out.

This is the code from the command prompt. The thing I don't understand is why the first 12 lines of this appear to be random points being generated from my mask. This stops short of the 32 points I specified and the remaining coordinates are my occurrence points for this species (J.coahuilensis):

Oh and on thing to add, I do actually get a limited number of output files including plots, so it's not just that the output folder cannot be accessed.

Dan solved this one for me via e-mail.

The problem was the line coding being used in my .csv occurrence files. If anyone has a similar problem just change the line coding to Unix from whatever it currently is. Easiest way to do this is to download text wrangler (http://www.barebones.com/products/textwrangler/), open your .csv file in it and then save as, specifying unix coding.
