Bias File

Hi everyone,

I created a bias file under the assumption that there is a survey bias towards urban areas and roads. What I did was invert a distance-to-road raster that I had. In this new file, the highest values represent urban areas and roads, while the lower values correspond to pixels farthest away. The pixel farthest from roads and urban areas has a value of 1.

I ran it through Maxent, and everything seemed to go smoothly, but I'm unsure if my approach is correct.
