It's the proportion of a given sample of actual presences that have probabilities of occurrence (or habitat suitability values) below a binarization threshold.
This sample of "actual presences" might be your training occurrences, or a set withheld for testing. The "predicted omission rate" shown in some output figures refers to omission with respect to an occurrence sample drawn from the fitted distribution itself.
Hi. I miss a clear definition of "omission" in a Maxent context. "Omission", "omission rate" etc. are terms used many times throughout the tutorial, but what exactly does it mean? I hope that somebody can help. Best regards, Jakob
