Hello

Does anyone have experience using QGIS 3.x for converting rasters for Maxent?

I want to change all rasters to one cell size and clip to the same extent before converting to ASCII.

Is it possible to use one tool, like extract by mask, to do all of these things: change pixel size and extract by mask or clip, making sure they are all the same project coordinate system?

Also, some of the tools in QGIS ask for pixel size but the default is 0.0100. Is that  1, 10 or 100 meters?

Thanks!
Laura

Hi Laura,

Even I am going through the same problem. What I tried is, I masked the raster layer to the vector extent and then converted the TIFF to ASC. Then I used Notepad Editor ++(a free software available on web) and opened my ASC files. And made the cell size same by copy and pasting the data of any one climatic variables to my topographic variables. Hope this helps you.

Tnx!
Good luck with your project.

Hi Laura,

Try "Align Rasters..." and save your outputs directly in ASCII format.

Good luck!
