Maxent Error: NODATA_value

Hi, I need help with a bug that I can't fix in MaxEnt. I have two layers that when downloaded only came in shape format, so I converted them into a raster, aligned them so that they had the same cell size and the same geographic dimensions as the others that I am using, and I have checked the attribute table and there are no values_NODATA. But when entering them to MaxEnt, I get this error: 

NumberFormatException For input string: NODATA_value.

Could someone help me? I have tried various solutions that I have read in the group and seen videos on youtube but have not been able to fix it. Thanks in advance!!

The layers that you converted from shape files into rasters - there are now some cells with numerical values, right? What values do the cells have that have no data in them? I'm guessing your problem is the values in those cells that have no data.

1st method: The file which you downloaded. Open its ASC format in Notepad++ and press ctrl+F to open the search dialogue box. 

Search for "0" or no data value or for blank fields. If you find any replace the cell with with -9999

-9999 is the default no data vaule set by the software while it is reading file. 

2nd method is when you realise that first method is not useful for me. In the 2nd method, you should clean up your temporary files from computer and also delete all the Maxent cache files from your environmental variable folder. And then restart your PC. And start a fresh modelling session with maxent.
