what are differences between percent contribution and Permutation importance

Dear maxent users

please I want to know what are the differences between percent contribution and Permutation importance in maxent output, and which one is very important when i want analysis my results (which one make a sense more when i analysis my maxent output).

Hi Emad,

The Permutation importance should be your choice not the percent contribution where the later one is based on the way you order your variables in your model but the Permutation importance is the updated one.
