Hi all,

I’m looking for paleoclimate layers to look at ancient distributions
of two frog species I am working on for my dissertation. I am
specifically interested in Western North America, and I’d prefer data
from around the LGM, but any past climate data would be helpful at
this point. I had thought this data was available on WorldClim, but it
looks like I was mistaken.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Amanda

Hi Amanda

Have a look at these pages:

http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/paleo/modelvis.html

http://pmip2.lsce.ipsl.fr/

It also seems that these old links to past climate data from worldclim
are still working:

http://biogeo.berkeley.edu/worldclim1_4/grid/pst/21k/wc_2_5m_MIROC3.2_21k_bio.zip

Good luck

Paco
