Hello 

I'm trying to build drone from a scratch.

I wanted to know how does the drone communicate through wifi to the GCS.

And how can i use mavlink sdk?

By MAVLink SDK, do you mean the MAVSDK? If so then you probably want to use the PX4 flight stack. 

There are instruction then on building a vehicle and using this stack in http://docs.px4.io/master/en/index.html. If you want to use Wifi you would have to have a wifi telemetry radio: http://docs.px4.io/master/en/telemetry/telemetry_wifi.html
SDK docs are here: https://mavsdk.mavlink.io/develop/en/index.html. 
That should be enough to get you started.

If you are using another flight stack then the process would be similar but you might need to use a different SDK. For example ArduPilot usually uses Dronekit-Python.
