mavproxy.py stream rate

Hi, I'm trying to use apm2 as a data logger (attitude mostly) and have been playing with --streamrate parameter in mavproxy.py on linux. Apm is connected with usb  Does this param set how often data should be loggged? Is it given in Hz? I want to log as fast as possible, but it seems that max that I can currently get for each parameter is around 25Hz. Does anyone know what I can do to improve it? Supposedly, max is 50Hz.

I also edited arduino code, so that it transmits only the messages I need (4 different parameters) - I thought that transmitting all may be too much with such a high frequency.
