Dronekit giving link timeout

Hi All,
I am trying to inject an MAVLink packet(custom) using Python script on the system where I have DroneKit installed and connected it to rfd900. On the receiver side, I am running Mission Planner and connected it to rfd900, Using serial communication. When executing my Python script, I get "Link timeout, no heartbeat in last 5 seconds". Does anyone know how to do it?

I don't know if this is possible with DroneKit - if you're listening for connections it will timeout if it does not get a heartbeat in 5 seconds. I don't know if it can act as a server where it doesn't require those heartbeats.

Given you are working with ArduPilot (based on use of Mission Planner), I suggest you ask how to achieve what you want on the ArduPilot forums.
