Any plans for a release?

Up to now there are only snapshot versions of this (very useful)
plugin available. So, are there plans yet for a 0.2 release?

Yes, I really should do a release.
It looks like there is one outstanding reported bug for Maven V3, but it is
fully working in Maven 2.
I will try to get this released over the coming weekend.

The Maven External Dependency Plugin (Version 0.4) has been  RELEASED
and is now available on  Maven Central!

A few features have been added since I first wrote about this project,
including extracting artifacts from downloaded ZIP files and
validating artifact checksums against the Sonatype Maven repository as
a cautionary  measure  to ensure that artifact group ID, artifact ID,
version, and checksum do not conflict with some other existing
artifact in the public repository.
