Dear Community Members, Assalamo Alaikum

Insha'Allah MAV Youth and community members will volunteer at the ACTS Homeless Shelter this Friday - March 23rd (and every 4th Friday of the month). Volunteering at the shelter is an excellent opportunity for Muslims to extend compassion and helping hand to the ones in need in our larger community. Please participate and bring your children along in this blessed cause. I am sure that anyone who has volunteered can vouch that it is a spiritually rewarding experience.

Specifics:

· Please let me know by Thursday (Mar. 22nd) what you will be able to bring. This is to ensure that we don't all show up with the same dish!

· If you don't know what to bring then please email me and I can give you some ideas.

· We need to cater for roughly 25 people at the shelter and on the average need 4-5 families to volunteer. If we have enough participation then one dish per family is more than enough.

· You can meet the group that meets at Daralnoor Masjid at 5:15 p.m. or come directly to the shelter by 6pm. Here is the address:
