Hey Mauser M03 fans,
let me briefly introduce myself. My name is Victor, I am from Germany and I am a very big fan of the Mauser M03 :) I have previously owned quite a few including an Expert in 308, Alpine in 30-06, Alpine Deluxe in 9,3x62 and most recently an Old Classic Wood Grade 8-9 in 7mm Rem Mag.
The next project that I am seeking is a Mauser M03 Meisterklasse. As you all know, these are not easy to come by and unfortunately also not very cheap. I am therefore looking to sell my Old Classic in 7mm Rem Mag in order attain the necessary funds.
The rifle itself has actually never been taken on a hung and is brand new! I haven't even gotten around to getting the Sling swivels installed... I will provide factory new QR sling swivels from a German manufacter that are used on Sauer and Blaser.
The rifle has the following specs:
- Mauser M03 Old Classic Wood Grade 8-9
- Color case hardened action
- Color case hardened Magazin Type E
- MA Bolt head in GOLD!
- Original S.W. Silver Red butt stock (original black is included)
- Fluted 65cm 7mm Rem Mag barrel
MSRP ca. 13.500 USD
The next gun I would like to present is not in my own posession but in that of a friend. The rifle is a Mauser M03 Great Plains Edition. The rifle would have been a "Meisterklasse" but this category of M03 hadn't been introduced yet. The rifle is chambered in .416 Remington and has an array of exclusive features. The rifle has been to Africa twice and has some minor wear (minor scratches on wood but none on any metal parts!). I was told by a Mauser sales spokesman that the Great Plains M03 is a one of one edition.
These are the specs:
- Mauser M03 Great Plains Wood Grade 8 - .416 Rem
- Polished Action and Metal parts
- Gold inlays on magazine, action, barrel, pistol grip cap and bolt
- Old english engravings on action, barrel and bolt
- Lion head engraving on magazine + Additional Leopard magazine! (MSRP of 2500€ for magazine alone!)
- Buffalo engraving on pistol grip cap
- Kick-stop
- Original Mauser double suitcase
MSRP 24.500 USD without 2nd magazine and suitcase
I have a PDF of the catalog pages in which these two models are shown.
As I reckon that this is an international group, I have no idea what the procedure and or administrative hassle is to sell a rifle internationally. I only know that there are specialized dealers in Germany who specialize in Import/Export of firearms and take care of the entire process (EU countries are fairly simple in regards to ex-import).
As the Great Plains is a one of one edition, it will not be parted out and can only be bought as is. For the Old Classic however, I may be willing to part out the stock and system in order to circumvent any problems regarding issues regarding import and export, as only the bold head and barrel fall under firearm regulations.
In case these two very rare and exclusive M03s have caught your interest, please feel free to contact me for further pictures and we can talk prices.
Best regards,
Victor
