Hello, fellow M03 shooters, I could use some advice.

I have an M03 Africa 416RM that I bought when I lived in England. When I was transferred back to the States (retired military now), I imported it along with the other firearms I had there back with me.

In a joyous turn of events, I recently married my English sweetheart and am repatriating back across the pond to live in England. If you know British firearms regulations, you might see the conundrum that puts me in. Do I take it, or sell it here in Texas? Especially in light of recent news. Importing my 45-70 Marlin guide gun, an old sporterized Ishapore 2a Lee Enfield (great gun, btw!), and a couple of shotguns won't be hard. But I doubt I have any dangerous game safaris in my future, much to my dismay.

I think if I could find a 300WM Africa barrel for it I would keep it. But they seem to be as rare as hens teeth these days.

So, what to do? Does anybody have an Africa 300WM barrel they want to part with? Or in need of a full Africa 416RM?

Or do I just put it in my safe and just take it out for a wipe down and reminiscence once in a while until my sons inherit it?

Kind regards from the Republic of Texas. Well, at least until this virus drama is over and then it's off to Old Blighty!

An overheard conversation between two old regulars in the Red Lion pub in your English sweetheart's village.

"There's only three things wrong about these Yanks. They're overpaid, they're oversexed and they're over here without a decent dangerous game rifle!"

That sums up my thoughts on the matter. Think of the fun you could have at the range once every year or so, blowing out the cob webs, letting tweed clad bystanders have a turn. Smiles and giggles all round.

Stay safe up there in Texas. And I'm talking about the politics! Yikes! The virus is easy in comparison. :-)
