I've compiled my own kernel now so I can play more, but I think I told you
that already.

Anyway, I was reading the messages about mounting a CDROM locking up the
system. I mounted a CDROM on APUS and tried to zcat a *.tar.gz file onto
a partition on a SCSI drive connected to the A4000T SCSI. The CDROM is a
quad speed SCSI drive. The result was a system crash and here is the
dmesg. I hope this helps
