Foot and Mouth Kills Dutch Kite Festival!

In a board meeting tonight, the organizers of the 8th International Family
Kite Festival have decided to postpone the event. It was planned for 17 & 18
March 2001 and over 250 kite fliers were planning to attend this kite
festival. But in light of the spread of Foot and Mouth disease to France,
the organizers believe it to be irresponsible to continue the kite festival
at this time.

Marc Collewijn, spokesman of the kite festival, will make more information
available as soon as possible. He can be reached by e-mail at
m.coll...@chello.nl. At this moment, please pass this information on to
any parties that may plan come to an empty kite field.

Hallo zusammen,

für alle die werde englisch noch holländisch können,

das geplante Drachenfest am 17. & 18. März 2001 in Zelhem muss leider wegen der Maul und
Klauenseuche abgesagt werden!
Bitte gebt diese Information an möglichst viele Drachenflieger weiter damit nicht jemand dort
hinfährt...

Ich habe eine eMail von Marc erhalten in der noch ein paar detail stehen aber leider auf holländisch
und englisch.

Wie mir Jan Heusinkveld noch gesagt hat wird Flying Circus versuchen das Fest noch nachzuholen, das
kann aber erst September werden!

Schade, ich hatte mich schon gefreut nach dem Winter mal wieder ein paar nette Leute zu treffen.
