Hi,
I'm new to this newsgroup, so please be lenient with me if I my problem
doesn't match exactly to this newsgroup.
The Problem:
I'm running a Guillemot Maxi Sound Homestudio 64 Pro under Win95A,
which is generally a really cool board.
But when I try to record with a very sensitive microphone (Sennheiser
K6) to harddisc, the board made me weird:
Recording with the "normal" ESS-Chip on the normal Card gives an average

16-Bit quality with very good (high) volume.
As I tried to use the feature that makes this soundboard something
special, the Adapter Board with the high-quality 18-Bit Brown Burr
Digital/Analogue-Converter on it, I got an inacceptable result because
the recording was even with this sensitive mic much too soft.
Furthermore the special Volume Control Panel supplied with the card
doesn't seem to affect the Adapter-boards Line-In in any way.
Has anybody experienced something similar and/or found a way to override

this ??bug??
Please E-Mail a response because my Usenet-access is limited in time.
Thanks VERY much to all of you

Florian
