Graphic designers often gain experience through internships, which they may undertake while enrolled in a design program. Internships allow aspiring graphic designers to work with designers and to experience the design process from concept to completion.

The Work Environment tab includes the number of jobs held in the occupation and describes the workplace, the level of physical activity expected, and typical hours worked. It may also discuss the major industries that employed the occupation. This tab may also describe opportunities for part-time work, the amount and type of travel required, any safety equipment that is used, and the risk of injury that workers may face.
The How to Become One tab describes how to prepare for a job in the occupation. This tab can include information on education, training, work experience, licensing and certification, and important qualities that are required or helpful for entering or working in the occupation.
The State and Area Data tab provides links to state and area occupational data from the Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) program, state projections data from Projections Central, and occupational information from the Department of Labor's CareerOneStop.

The wage at which half of the workers in the occupation earned more than that amount and half earned less. Median wage data are from the BLS Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics survey. In May 2023, the median annual wage for all workers was $48,060.
When you create a Recommendations activity, you have the option to include promoted items in your Recommendations design. Promotions use available slots in a design and take precedence over criteria results and backup recommendations. For example, if your design has six slots and you use two of them for promotions, four slots are available for items recommended based on criteria.
The default sort order for List of Items is based on the order you entered in the Target UI or API. If your list includes more items than the number of slots you set for promotions, the Randomize Item Order option randomizes the promoted items that are displayed in your design. Choosing this option results in Target randomly selecting the items enabled for promotions in the template from the entire promotion set on each hit.
If your entities do not have an entity.value attribute (for example, you do not sell products) you can pass a numeric value into the entity.value attribute, such as the publishing date. In this case, promoted items can be promoted based on the most-recent publishing date, in descending order. The entity.value attribute is of type double; it does not accept strings.
When promoting specific items using the Promote by Attribute or Promote a Collection options, the default order in which items are presented is based on the entity.value attribute, in descending numeric order.
