No October meeting this Thursday

October has sneaked up on us and we have not had time to prepare
anything for our planned meeting today. We will try to catch up in
November.

Also, I want to float the idea of moving the meetings to the second
Thursday of the month instead of the first. Both Brian and I always
get surprised by the month change and think that if we move it back a
week we would have more time to remember and prepare. Does anyone see
a problem with this?

We are also looking into a change of venue but aren't sure yet. I'll
let you know more about this as I get more information. We really do
have some nice talks planned but unfortunately none of them are ready
just yet. Stay tuned and hopefully we can get back on track soon. If
anyone has any topics that they would like to present on please let me
know too.

Ryan,

That sounds great. I have had a problem with the Thursday night meetings conflicting with football but will have Thursdays free by next month.

I am worried that our already small group is losing momentum and users. I know it's not fair to always leave the burden of planning on you, so perhaps if we can get enough people to help we could spread out the responsibility.

If you need a meeting place, I do have a conference room with a large screen that's about the same size as our current meeting room. My office is located at 4646 Poplar, Suite 517 so it's right down the road from our current meeting place.

Also I would be willing to take responsibility for either getting a speaker or doing a topic one month. Let me know what I can do to help.
