This is just a reminder that we will be having our regularly scheduled
meeting this Thursday, June 4th at 6pm at our usual place (5050
Poplar - Suite 932 - White Station Tower the tall building with the
red dot and white "i" on the top of it).
Brian Bockhold is going to be talking about reading bar codes on
images using CF and Java. He used ZXing - Zebra Crossing (more info
here:
http://code.google.com/p/zxing/). ZXing (pronounced "zebra
crossing") is an open-source, multi-format 1D/2D barcode image
processing library implemented in Java. Our focus is on using the
built-in camera on mobile phones to photograph and decode barcodes on
the device, without communicating with a server.
Brian is going to talk about the steps he took to make it all work and
how he plans to use it.
So hope to see you there!
P.S. If anyone has any speedtalk topics please let me know!
