There are restoration instructions that are very explicit, this seems to be the only issue. So now I'm chatting with the textbook company's support and all they can suggest is to download a file converter. But I would think that since .qbb files are quickbooks only, I couldn't use any other file converter for this. Does anyone know of a file converter would work, or can confirm for me that a file converter won't work and how I can explain this to the support people?
Start the converter and open the CSV or Excel file. Examine how transactions are parsed and click Review Mapping if required. Custom mapping helps when the parser cannot detect columns automatically. For example, your CSV file may have more than one amount column or more than one description column.
Click the "Convert" button to create a QBO or IIF file. The converter uses your CSV/Excel filename and its location as the base name for the new file. You may adjust the filename and its location before converting.
If you set the "Open after save" checkbox, the converter will do a system call to open the created file. By default, QBO and IIF files should be opened by Quickbooks installed on your computer. If the checkbox was not set, do the following to import created file:
The converter is capable of creating a PDF file from any QuickBooks report, including a balance sheet, reconciliation statement and expenses and any form such as company invoices and statements. The QuickBooks PDF Converter only works with QuickBooks and won't convert documents in Microsoft Word, Excel or other applications.
