I need to do some communication between 8051 micro-controller and PC . There used to be a hyper terminal for this purpose in windows XP. I m using windows 8 now. So can anyone suggest me some equivalent of hyper terminal in windows 8 for the purpose of serial comm. between micro-controller and PC.

Some versions of Windows NT have hyperterminal software that cannot send the correct break key signal. Refer toHilgraeve Hyperterminal Emulation Program for more information and for an upgrade of the hyperterminal software.

Typically, you would do that by simply arranging two windows: An editor and a browser.
But that's annoying because every time you make a tutorial, you have to align the windows side-by-side.
