Job Title: QA Lead with (Unix/Linux/Solaris, mySQL/Oracle/Informix)

Duration: 3-6 months Contract to Hire (Pls source a GC holder/H1 visa holder having 3+ yrs of validity left)

Location: Hoffman Estates, IL

Rate: DOE

Description:

Lead Tester will be required to understand requirements to create test plans, test data, execute test, validate results and work defects to resolution. Job includes leading projects, and interfacing systems for system test, interface test, integration test, and regression test. Must be able to represent application on project team providing status and updates to issues. In addition attending review meetings with development, users, and project managers to provide support and input into test planning and execution phases.

Skills / Experience Requirements

· Overall 5 - 7 years of Quality assurance experience with 3 to 5 years proven experience with quality assurance planning and execution of complex projects.

· Analytical skills and ability to review requirement and design documents generating test plans and test cases to cover the extent of the code changes. Responsibilities include overseeing projects in creating test plans, test cases, test data and expected results.

· Supporting system, regression, End to End, User test, and Interface testing.

· Loads requirements into Quality Center and ensures traceability exists between requirements and test cases.

· Works defects to closure. Participates in project requirements and design reviews on large complex projects, providing expertise from a quality assurance stand point.

· The ideal candidate will have significant experience with Selenium automation tool.

· Excellent analytical and communication skills; general technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation.

· General analytical and design skills at single product/single environment level.

· General skills in research, project planning and implementation.

· Specific platform knowledge (Unix/Linux/Solaris or Windows).

· General knowledge of the SQL, GUI and XML.

Additional Information: Team lead experience, working with US and non-US team structures, and leadership skills.

Requires a broad range of skills within a professional discipline to effectively perform routine to complex assignments; demands familiarity with principles, theories, concepts and technologies as well as applied knowledge of established procedures, policies and practices. Generally requires a BS degree, or equivalent, and 3-5 years experience in a related discipline

Mandatory Skill/s:

Unix/Linux/Solaris, mySQL/Oracle/Informix

Web Driver / Selenium automation tool.

Years o Experience:

5-7 Years of QA Testing (Pls source candidate of total 8-9 yrs of experience)

Travel Requirements: Yes – Once a year

Minimum Education: BS in Computer Science.
