Greetings! Apologies for any cross postings.

You are invited to a ribbon-cutting and celebration of soon-to-be newly conserved and publicly accessible land in Petrolia!

Please SAVE the DATE
When: Friday March 13, 2026,  1-7pm
What:  land-based art project (starts at 1pm) and Ribbon cutting at 3:15, followed by hike, dinner, and remarks.
Where to meet: at Mattole Valley Community Center for the 1pm art project; downtown Petrolia at the South end of Sherman Ave and Front Street for the 3:15 ribbon cutting and hike; and at the Mattole Valley Community Center for dinner after the hike, 5:30ish.

Please RSVP by March 4th to Fl...@mattole.org AND when you do, please state if you will come at 1pm for the art project, so I can have enough materials, or if you will only be attending the ribbon cutting and dinner.    (please do not reply to this email as it is sent from my personal account; thanks!)

All are welcome. Local residents are asked to please bring a potluck item to contribute to the dinner on Friday night.

Please feel free to reach out to me at Fl...@mattole.org if you have any questions.

Warmly,

Flora Brain (she/her)

King Range Alliance Coordinator
