Lotta Smoke?

Does anyone know what fire is blowing in rt now?? Seems to be happening fast. (Tues night)

There were quite a few new starts yesterday in the Sierra foothills from lightning. There is a fire burning near Post Mountain East of Ruth Lake that took off yesterday. Im having trouble viewing NOAA satellite loops, but that one kinda looks like its blowing smoke NW towards the coast.

From california wind map. I would say its coming south from the “dylan” fire in the siskiyous.  It’s raging.

However! There is a smoke showing south somewhere that looks East of Sheltercove. There was a fire near Benbow yesterday, but it shouldnt be smoking like that anymore...Maybe in Northern Mendo? Im not hearing anything on the radio. Its clear in Honeydew.

Maybe what Jane saw was marine haze, which was very noticeable in Petrolia last night.  As the air cools in the evening, the relative humidity can go up to the point that water starts to condense around hygroscopic particles, especially salt particles, in the marine layer.   Eventually, you get fog, as we have this morning.

There was also a small fire that popped up just past Bridgeville yesterday. All good now though. Not sure which way the wind was blowing at that time.
