slow communications via Frontier?

Is anyone TODAY having troubles with Frontier? (I know it was out last night about 9 pm-12)

Mine was out, internet only not phone, around 1 today. Spoke with a tech lady via phone, and she managed to give my router a new network name and password.

Now the signal is very very slow (4:30 pm) and i don't know if it has to do with that change, or if Frontier is just being slow-- as it often, but not always, is.

Please drop a note if you are aware of any Frontier issues this afternoon, Monday, 1/05.

No phone service today at all, out or in.

I’ve been in town lately, but I get texts every time that either of the utilities goes out.  I noticed lately, that every time I get a notice from PG&E, I also get one from Frontier, both about the outage, and the restoration.  This is pure speculation, but I think that Frontier now uses some kind of digital service, vs when they used to just use the actual phone cables, so the phone outages seem to correspond with the PG&E outages.  I could be wrong, so someone more versed in these things can comment and correct me.  Cheers, Gaby

I def. noticed this, that the PGE outages and Frontier outages seem to come in pairs. But the time sequence is not in sync: My power was out today for about an hour, then i noticed i had both power and phone (landline) + internet. But then the Frontier went out, while PGE stayed on. Go figure!

Thanks Gaby for the update. A neighbor tells me theirs, in here at Green Fir, has been out most of the time since last week, and a technician is supposedly coming tomorrow. Maybe the issue is not just with my own old router.

Bummer, Barbara. 
If you have a way of getting in touch with Frontier (a wireless/cell or whatever), be sure to let them know. They say they are sending out a tech tomorrow but for some reason they always pretend the problems are some isolated user-particular thing, when it seems they have some systemic issues.

I noticed I wasn't able to receive in coming calls the other day on my phone, when my daughters tried calling, even though I was able to call out! Go figure.
Also the internet seems particularly slow and unreliable with frequent interruptions.

A veterinarian's office in town said they failed to get through several times late yesterday and today.  We experienced one ring, then silence at least twice this morning. Frontier. Also, internet has been going in and out for some time.

Repeated internet failure. Poor functioning when it's working. Phone not ringing when folks call. Callers unable to leave message. Hours wasted on phone with frontier personnel. No improvement. 
So, frontier is being frontier.

I. still am without phone service. I cannot access help on internet because my e-mail has changed to.... christe9Icloud.com .....from frontiers net.net
the frontier net is nonfunctioning on my set up. When I CHAT with Frontier on line I am referred to JUSTASK,  which 5$ membership and $55.00 per question. I refuse to use this service because they are thieves that charge $55 per month once they have your credit card whether or not you use their services again. It is almost impossible to  cancel "so called membership". I think it is outrageous that Frontier has referred me to this Company.  If anyone can help me or give Frontier my info it is 28791 Mattole Rd. phone 707 629 3389. THANKS
