After 30 minutes on the phone just to cancel my internet service they still charged me $50 “equipment restocking fee” to return the 5 year old and probably obsolete router. 

At least I am done with them.

From my experience,  you can also expect the following;  a charge of $100 for not returning the modem (ask them for a prepaid box to return the modem), being perked around for months while they "process your refund" (it will be a prepaid Mastercard debit card). My refund took 5 phone calls.  My card showed up after 3 months.

Good luck. And, don't give in.
