I just had a room's carpeting pulled up. It had been there for over 20 years, though the room had not been occupied constantly.
It's a light brown or tan shag carpet.
Last tenant said he steam-cleaned it, and it did look fine. However, it gave off that faint odor of oldness and mold. When pulled up, it turned out there were only a couple of stretches along the edges with any visible black mold. So if you wanted to use it inside, you'd want to cut those two edges off.
Otherwise, could be used for a carport or porch or other outbuilding, or as mulch or the like, outdoors.
Comes with the foam pad under-layer.
