Mattole Junior Golf Event

Hello Mattole Community,

Dana and DanI are getting ready for our Mattole Junior Golf Charity Event by mowing, gathering fun prizes, and preparing Dan’s homemade pizza! Saturday 9/13 from noon-3:00ish (so many can still attend Bob’s 80th Birthday at the Grange).

Arrive around 11:30 to organize equipment, teams, and say hello! This is a donation based event, with the exception of buying 2 ‘Mulligans’ (a Mulligan is a free shot when you want) for $20. All proceeds go to our Junior Golfers for equipment, field trips, and anything related to their golf endeavors. Juniors get 2 free Mulligans. 

Spectators are welcome! 

The format is a ‘2 person team mix ball’- where each golfer on their 2 person team alternates shots until the ball is 2 club lengths from the hole. Everyone plays together so if we have 20 golfers, that makes 10 -two person teams. We will all play at the same time! This is called a ‘Horse Race’. After 3 holes there will be a few teams eliminated (due to their high scores). We will continue to eliminate teams until there are 3 winners of Win, Place, and Show,  just like at the horse races.

Bring your favorite pizza toppings, adults get 1free beer, sparkling water for the kids, fresh fruit and FUN!
