I am online with Frontier MyWay trying to report my malfunctioning landline and they say there is no outage, they say they have no complaints from this area. 

I know many people are having this problem today. For me, it's no dial tone. I did get a call from Portland, no problems with that call... but i cannot dial out. 

Please go to Frontier Service Outage Status | Frontier if you are having a similar issue and report the trouble.

I am on Chat with a Technical Support person.

I was on with Chat for 3 hours (I kid you not), while I am sick on 3/3/2025.

Oh, and don't bother calling their 1.800 number listed below. It just puts you in a big circle:

"Are you Technical Support? I just erroneously spent more than a quarter of 1/4 hour with account services. I have been on Frontier Chat since 5:19 p.m. tonight.  It is now 7:10 p.m.

I have created a non dispatch ticket, ticket number 2144118. This means a tech will work to resolve the issue remotely. You will receive a follow up phone call to verify the service is back online correctly when the order has been worked. We give the technicians at least two days to look into the issue.

How about 1-800-921-8101 and select the correct prompts to Technical Support."

 



Check it out "NON-DISPATCH ticket is not the same thing as Dispatch (i.e. boots on the ground-type service).

Frustrating to say the least. Thanks Cindy for your diligence.  Also folks should note that if you don’t report problems you will be charged for services not provided. (Unlike PG&E  where as the meter simply stops). If you are trying to run a business equating time to money, you will lose this game of being on the phone with them to get your day prorated. Currently my calling over WiFi drops me multiple times in one conversation, which doesn’t work well reporting problems. 
Solution? Major overhaul in structural and customer services or, as many here have suggested a change in carrier.

Same problem here for several days, can't even check messages. Internet too flaky to report online. Cannot call out.

Are we now looking at 50 to 100 homes and businesses without phones in Mattole for days, weeks?

I have not had residential outgoing long-distance (which includes Ferndale, Fortuna, Eureka) for nearly 2 weeks. Are there isolated people who have no idea they are part of what Frontier calls 'a common occurrence' (meaning, it is happening to everyone) and can not call out?

Laura, I attempted to utilize your suggestion last night around 5:30 p.m. to report the phone outage but their system said there was no report of outages, which is why I tried to reconnect via Frontier's CHAT. 

Frontier has outsourced their CHAT system to India, which is 8,416 miles from California.

 My 3/3/2025 3-hour conversation and again last night 3/5/2025 1-hour conversation with Frontier's CHAT personnel, led me through approximately 8 different people all with names that translate in Sanscript. 

I am not prejudiced. What I am saying is people living that far away have no idea of our literal isolated need for communication, especially in an emergency situation.

Also, Frontier's CHAT Technical Support is accomplished as they check their inside lines for problems, not, let's say a phone line on the ground out here caused by weather or by a rock slide.

For those of you who experience difficulties with your internet service, try this:
