In my other laptops they automatically delete from the Sparkbooth album when I close the programme. I don't have to delete the folders for them to delete out the Sparkbooth programme. I have installed Spark booth on a new computer and when I close the programme they do not delete out of Sparkbooth.Thank youKind regards Trevor Freemantle Crazy Fun Photo Booth079 734 9786

Does it perhaps save them in a folder that is given a date. The next day a new folder is created and you can no longer view the previous days photos taken in the sparkbooth programme?I think I have figured out but not sure how to explain it.Thank youKind regards Trevor Freemantle Crazy Fun Photo Booth079 734 9786

If you want/need to delete those old photos, you will need to
find the MAIN folder where they are all stored
...I suspect you never changed it from the original set up
so those folders would be in the C:..documents/sparkbooth/DATES

Hi,
I bought the sparkbooth a few weeks ago, and have used it in two events, but i've noticed a severe downgrade in printing quality compared to another software i used before. I tried putting the qualty to the maximum.
I used a 5d mk iii in both examples i have here, top quality camera, so there shouldn't be a problem there.
The picture on the left (smaller rectangles) was the old software, the pictures came out sharp.
The one of the right was made with sparkbooth, and the pictures are sort of blurry all the time, even when putting 600px.
My printer is a dnp ds40. Can anybody help me out?
I will upload a picture when i can

I can't find the scaling setting, but i tried print directly to windows. The quality looks better ( i tried in low light), but the settings i had are not applied ( printer isn't cutting the paper in half and the borders that i had are also not applied). There are no borders on one of the pictures which i had fixed already without ''print directly to windows'' , is there a way to fix this?

My settings are at 6x4, and i've enabled the 2 inch cuts.
I'm going to do some tests and disabling the ''automatically scale photo to fit paper size'' because when i don't keep it on there are large white borders..

I just noticed this too, I always thought it was just the way my printer printed but now I'm looking closely and the spark booth pictures look pixelated as compared to printing directly from windows. (I only have webcam version). In the printer scaling settings I had to change the scaling method from "bi cubic" to "windows default" because on bicuvic the prints come out too dark in spark booth. Now i have this pixelation issue when it's set to windows default. Solved one problem and created another. Why do spark booth prints come out different than printing directly from windows?

I just tried the booth with the suggestiions you guys had, the pictures are still pixelated. I'm quite dissapointed and i really need answers, i can't run a business with this mediocre quality. I don't understand why a different software gets the job done better, i need this product because of the nice layouts.

Otherwise, you can try enabling the "Print directly to Windows system"
setting under Settings > Printing in Sparkbooth. That will use the same
print app when you right-click on an image file and select Send to Printer
or Print.

After doing another event, I realized that the pictures are still very unsatisfying. When I use the sparkbooth settings, the pictures are blurry, but when i used the ''print directly to windows'' the pictures are too sharpened or ''pixelated''. I tested the other software I have, and the picture comes out excellent. The pictures with the blue background is the one used with your software... I've done hundreds of tests and still can't get it nice...
I have a DNP DS40, and i can't find a scale setting.
I've printed the strips directly from the sparkbooth folder and it's the same problem, but when i print the original picture the print comes out fine.
If i can't find an answer we'll be forced to find another software and ask for a refund... It's a shame, because we really like your software,

Well the layout is just a mater of how created you are the quality of your picture is determine by your camera. does it takes good pictures now the DS40 is a great printer I use a RX1 which is similar to the 40. my pictures comes out perfect and I use a c920 webcam. below are samples

To answer your question John, what i meant by blue background is the blue layout was made in sparkbooth. I don't have a problem with the borders anymore, I've fixed that a while ago, so my main problem is the sharpened images when i use print directly to windows, but when i don't use that option the pictures are very blurry.

I just set my settings to 300 x 300 dpi and also i noticed that i had a ''sharpen picture'' setting on, so when i took it off, the pictures came out much better, but they do look a bit blurry as before now haha. Do you know of any way to sharpen the images just a tad?
The breeze systeme sharpens the pictures a little bit, so they still look a little better. At least i can work with what i have now!!!

in Skype and we can get 'er done eh !

Andrew,
A lot of people are helping you here but I want to offer a few suggestions to help isolate your issue.
SB has the option to save copies of the source image, the single image and the final photo composite aka the photo strip. I suggest you make sure you are saving all three for your testing. Then.. take a sample session. After the session view all three folders to see if the image quality is good on each one. This will help isolate if the problem is with the captured image, the converted image or the composite output, and also determine if the image files are good or if you have a printing issue. You can print the JPG file from Sparkbooth and from any image viewing tool from windows. There will be small differences, because of scaling and zoom to fit options, but the quality should be very close.
One last thing to ask. You mention the prints are pixelated. Is everything pixelated including your graphics in the layout, or just the images? This also points to where you may have issues.
Lastly, and I hesitate to even ask a person with a 5d MK III, is the camera actually focusing. Check the images for this in the canon folder. You could also try a manual focus set of tests too.
Cheers,
Ed (5DMk2, and some others)

However, I've mentioned to several other users on here that I use the Mitsubishi, which as a 2x6 x2 Type 2 (that's their naming convention) form, and it allows me to print two copies of a layout, which results in a 4x6 print that's cut correctly into two strips. When I try to print a 2x6 layout using Windows Explorer (and the Preview app), it will print correctly if I still select two copies. But then when going into SB, two copies results in two sets of one 2x6 strip and one 2x6 blank. I've tried changing the settings in the printing preferences for the printer, but it doesn't seem to change anything in the SB prints.

I have been trying different configurations as an attempt to possibly move to a DSLR only setup. I noticed several lockups and a few onscreen warnings regarding auto-focus. It mentions turning it off but the message was gone before I could take note of the whole message. (I was at an event and needed to get rolling again)
Can you tell me what the issues are when trying to use auto-focus? I was hoping to use it as a way to insure accurate focusing but it is looking like this creates another issue.
Thoughts?
Ed

When using a DSLR with auto focus it causes a major delay intaking the photo(s) because it has to wait for the camera to focuswhen the count down gets to 0 and sends the command to TAKE thephoto. Then the camera has to now Auto focus and THEN the photo issnapped... some times it takes an additional 3-5 seconds and thepeople in the booth have already THOUGH the photo was taken andthey are now not posed as they were when the count down reached0... causing totally bad photos and confused guests.

PS: Joe the issue you mentioned also needs to be addressed too! We need an option to turn off the "screen flash" or a way to adjust the delay so we can match our camera delays. I think the option to turn it off would be easier! Then the people would only see the flash of the external strobe/camera.

The lock up seems to happen with some cameras... I have only been able to
duplicate the issue with the T5i... and with that camera it only happened
if I turned on the camera and accidentally moved the power switch past the
power on to the movie mode. Could just be a firmware issue.

AI Servo works good not great. I have a T3i and a SL1, the t3i works great. But the SL1 also locks up randomly, i thought it was because people were moving too much so it would lock up and freeze but no it ended up freezing randomly even when i removed the AF. Still trying to figure out what triggers it

Richard and John,
I am using an SL1, never had a lockup or issue with it, until trying to use it with auto-focus on. and by on, I am talking about having the lens switch set to AF. When using the lens set to Manual Focus, it has never presented the error message or locked up. I love this little camera!
John what triggers the sparkbooth message about autofocus?

Richard, John,
I did a 4 Hour event on Friday. I set the SL1 lens to Auto Focus and turned on ALL focus points, prior to connecting the camera to the USB cable. I had NO lockups or Spark Booth AF error messages. I tilted the camera for several people who had children too. This would def cause the cam to refocus. So this might help out.
I'm planning to leave it this way for now and see how it does on my next event.
