I have an .iso file that contains the windows 7 home edition and I want to make a bootable dvd to install it to my PC, I have nero burning rom 10. Is there any tutorial for this because I found this: -to-create-windows-7-bootable-dvd-using-nero/ but it is explaining about .IMA files not .ISO files! is there any difference or its the same. Maybe I didnt understand the 3d step, do I have to choose the ISO file that I have?
If the sidebar doesn't match what you see, I can't help you with Nero, as I don't use it. However, in that case you might try seeing the instructions at Click "Show me how" at Step 2 ("Burn your CD or create a bootable USB stick").
Nero Burning ROM, commonly called Nero, is an optical disc authoring program from Nero AG. The software is part of the Nero Multimedia Suite but is also available as a stand-alone product. It is used for burning and copying optical media such as CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray disks. The program also supports the label printing technologies LightScribe and LabelFlash, and can be used to convert audio files into other audio formats.
Nero Burning ROM is a pun in reference to Roman Emperor Nero, who was best known for his association in the Great Fire of Rome. The emperor allegedly fiddled while the city of Rome burned. Also, Rome in German is spelled Rom. The software's logo features a burning Colosseum, although this is an anachronism as it was not built until after Nero's death.[2]
Nero Burning ROM is only available for Microsoft Windows. A Linux-compatible version was available from 2005 to 2012, but it has since been discontinued.[3] In newer versions, media can be added to compilations via the Nero MediaBrowser. Nero AirBurn, a new feature in Nero 2015, enables users to burn media straight from their mobile devices.[4] The latest version is Nero Burning ROM 2017 released in October 2016 including SecurDisc [ru; de] 4.0 with 256-bit encryption.
Nero Burning ROM works with a number of optical disc image formats, including the raw uncompressed image using the ISO9660 standard and Nero's proprietary NRG file format. Depending on the version, additional image formats may be supported. To use non-natively supported formats such as lossless FLAC, Wavpack, and Shorten, additional program modules must be installed. The modules are also known as plug-ins and codecs and are usually free, although Nero AG sells some proprietary video and audio plug-ins. Standard CD images created by Nero products have the filename extension .NRG, but users can also create and burn normal ISO images.
hi i just joined this forum and this my first post. I hope am not posting in the wrong place cause i notice that this forum is for mainly for Imgburn related discussion. However, maybe someone can please help me with the following questions and confusions.
I use NERO 7 as the CD-burning software and recently found that a new version of Nero ASPI Driver (v2.0.1.74) is out. Now I have downloaded this version but don't know what to do next. How do I check the version of the Nero ASPI driver currently installed? Is there a tool for doing that?
I however plan to start using imgburn for most of my CD/DVD burning needs hoping that it offers most (if not all) of the features which Nero offers. I assume that amongst the shareware products Nero is probably the better products as compared with Ashampoo and whatever else is out there.
I'm using Windows Vista Premium and until today I liked the Windows Photo Gallery just fine. Then I compared the same images using Nero PhotoSnap Viewer. Wow! What a difference. The images are much sharper using Nero PhotoSnap. Also it's way easier to manage the images; Zoom in-out and using the scroll wheel to rapidly change images.
As far as Nero goes, I've played with their viewer. It's important to remember that PhotoSnap applies sharpening to every image as it displays it, so what you are seeing is a sharpened version of the file you thought you were looking at. I didn't like that. I like to see what my file looks like, not a sharpened as Nero sees fit version.

Good luck and good light.
Mezman, you are probably correct! However, in my post I mentioned that I use the editor in Photosnap! Which is the reason I suggested another viewer! My photos really don't gain anything when I view them on my LCD in Photosnap viewer, as a matter of fact with Photosnap viewer, they actually look worse. I mainly use the editor from familiarity and ease of use. Also , with it I can use my own default settings. I'm just lazy and don't have much time for the others yet. Thanks for clarifying that!
I'm using Sony Image Data converter SR for raw files, I like it except for the inability to crop and save. I'm leaning towards buying Paint Shop Pro XI, and I have CS2, I just need to hunker down and learn a really good one to do all my photos.
Got any suggestions?
FastStone viewer rocks! And I was amazed how easy it was to learn!! And it's very fast! The image comparer is very useful, plus it's easy to toggle between two images to compare them. I use the portable version.
Yes I saw that too in the options menu. I have a 22" widescreen monitor and MaxView does just that. It does a great jof of filling the screen without any distractions. To see more detail, mouse to the right of the screen. To see the menu bar go to the top. To see the taskbar go to the bottom. The details are really complete. It even tells you what photo editing program you used on that picture. All this and it's free. It puts the Microsoft Photo Gallery to shame with those big distracting buttons and no way to fill the screen. MaxView is also a tiny little program. It took me 4 seconds to download it and less than 30 to install and choose the files I wanted associated. Go and get it and while you are there get their Photo Resizer program as well. It's also terrific and free. And no I don't work for them. :>)
Irfanview builds thumbnails on the fly - so takes a bit, but much faster than windows. Add'ly it has multiple plug-ins available. For example, you can view psd files, txt files, jpg, tif, many raw formats (haven't looked for Sony raw, yet) Moreover, irfanview provides add'l functions such as copy, move, etc. I have it linked to Exiftool, so I can batch process files.
