ZMAIL, your dose of Vitamin Z September 2013 Detroit Zoo's Newest Star Zuhura - Swahili for "morning star" - is the stellar name given to a female chimpanzee born in the early morning hours of August 10 at the Detroit Zoo. Zuhura can be seen clinging to mom Chiana as she carries her around the Great Apes of Harambee. See them climbing trees outdoors on sunny days and hanging out in the habitat's spacious dayrooms during inclement weather.   Exclusive Member Benefits   Zoo Boo Member Exclusive Presale! Upcoming Events   Zoo Brew at the Detroit Zoo Lions and tigers and beers...oh, my! The Detroit Zoo will host the 3rd annual Zoo Brew on Friday, September 27, 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The 21-and-over event will feature unique beers from select Michigan craft breweries, live music and food for purchase. This event has sold out.
