I would like to invite you for the annual Gathering for Gardner celebration of the mind party on Friday, October 21 at 6pm. Last year, the event was celebrated by 66 groups worldwide, including our Natural Math.

Our theme this year is "Grow your math eyes." Each participant will bring a photograph they took. Together, we will create a mathematical art piece out of our pictures. We will use physical art media such as collage and paint, as well as digital media such as GeoGebra for overlaying graphs on photos.

What: Gathering for Gardner http://www.g4g-com.org/
When: Friday, October 21, from 6 to 8 PM
Where: 309 Silvercliff Trail, Cary (MariaD's house)
Register: email drou...@gmail.com - space is limited
Age: Anyone who would like to chat while making art for two hours
Price: FREE
Bring: A beautiful photo (you can also email the digital photo to me); potluck snack

Cheers,

We were thinking that you could do a math trek on a wednesday in NOVEMBER in the morning, and we could still do our planned activity in the afternoon. How much time is good for a math trek?
Our groups afternoon activity is at University Mall in chapel hill, so anywhere in the chapel hill area would work for a location.

Does that work? We aren't meeting the wednesday before thanksgiving (or a lot of us will be missing) so, any other wednesday could work.

Love, Louise
