Dear Dave, 

this is Kajsa, from LangSoc (Linguistics and English Language Society). We spoke briefly in Fresher's Week this year, about hosting some joint event, but sadly I believe we were all a little too busy at the time.

Hence, my request to you now, on the behalf of the society, is if you and MathSoc would want to co-host a Celidh that LangSoc is putting on in February. We have the Teviot Debating Hall and Loft Bar booked on the night of February 13. The profit will go to a Charitable Organisation. (We're looking to find one that works with speech disorders, or cognitive disabilities in general (which would be appropriate if you guys were to join)). We have a Celidh Band in mind, coincidentally one from the Mathematics Dept, although we're still to send a request. 

If you would be up for this, and if you have any further suggestions for the event, please let me know!

The hoodies have arrived!! Iv checked the invoice to see if everything matches the order we placed, which is done except we were charged extra for a few things, but i spoke to the guy from Image Scotland who is fine to take these costs off and bring it down to the price it should be. Later today I am going to check we have all the hoodies we asked for, correct size/colour etc.
 
We need to give the hoodies out prompto. What do people think about sending out an email advertising all next week, mon-fri lunchtimes in the hub? 12-1pm each day? Im hoping aswell if we asked nicely that Gina Temple (head of maths) would kindly allow us to store the hoodies in her office over the week so we dont have to keep bringing in the boxes.
 
How many orders did we get from central? If there were alot of first year orders then it might be best to have a pick up point in central aswell. The thing is with that knowing which hoodies we take to central and dont have at kings. It would be far simpler having all the hoodies together at just the one collection point up at kings.
 
David, have you got the order slips that people handed in so we know who ordered what?

Great!  How do they look?  I could be there at 1-2pm each day (can make anytime on Tuesday/Wednesday and Friday).  What times can people make?  I'll send out an email to let people know they can collect their hoodies, and i'll email Gina about storing the hoodies in her office.  I agree it would be easier just to have the one collection point at KB.  Also I have a list of new member we got at the end of last semester that David gave me.  Have these people been given membership cards?

Great! I can be in the hub on Monday and Thursday at those times . No most of the new members do not have cards and have not been added to the list - Mitz can u bring in the member cards?

Checked the hoodies and all sizes/colours are correct and we have exactly what we asked for. Result! I will be there def monday to bring the goods but not sure whether i can stay the whole time as i need to practice my math ed presentation and this can only be practised 1-2pm on monday/tues. I can be there on tues aswell but again not sure when I will be doing my practice for my presentation. I can't make weds but will be there thurs.
 
Read the email you sent jonathon and on the emails we are still advertising the dec pub quiz! We should take this off.
