I would change 'dance ticket' to 'after dinner ticket'. Simply because dance ticket doesnt sound like it involves a ceilidh which is what is attracting some people.

They want us to pay on the night as if everyone was going into a normal club...
He couldnt actually tell me what kind of music or if we get the space to ourselves.

We need to come up with some agreement with them that if people say their from the maths ball then they get to go in free at the time but then at the end of the night/next day whenever they let us know how many people went in and how many we need to pay for. This way we'd have to trust them not to tell us lies that more people turned up, also we'd risk people in the queue hearing and saying there with us, but we could stand by the entrance and testify whether people were with us and also if we did this we could count. Doesn't sound like their reserving a room for us, could they definately gaurantee us in? Is cab vol our only option?

I'll make that change. How about if we ask them to take our tickets as people go in and then we pay them for each ticket they have at the end?
Time is running out, if you're wanting to change it, we need someone to check how much VIP / tables /guestlist are on George St. and whether we can pay them to accept our tickets- then we'll hvae another option.

Thats a fantastic idea with the tickets. I guess aslong as cab vol can gaurantee us entry then they would be the best place. Is someone going to talk to them again? Wanna mention about the ticket idea to them and see if their ok with this agreement?

Cab vol would be happy to take the tickets but they would need us to pay a lump sum upfront. They will however give us any extra money back so I say we go for that!
