Building Bridges: Probability, Statistics and Applications
on the occasion of the International Year of Statistics 2013 and with special events commemorating the 60th birthday of Claudia Klüppelberg
Tuesday, August 13 - Friday, August 16, 2013
Braunschweig, Germany
Overview:
In the International Year of Statistics 2013, the aim of this
conference is to bring together a wide range of researchers working in
various different but also strongly interconnected fields of
probability, statistics and their applications.
We also take the opportunity of this conference to celebrate the 60th birthday of Claudia Klüppelberg
and her numerous scientific achievements which show how important it is
to look at theory and applications in probability and statistics.
Topics of the conference include, but are not limited to:
- Extreme Value Theory
- Insurance Mathematics
- Lévy Processes
- Mathematical Finance
- Random Fields
- Risk Management
- Statistics for Stochastic Processes
- Turbulence
Organisers:
Organising Committee:
- Vicky Fasen (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology)
- Alexander Lindner (TU Braunschweig)
- Thomas Mikosch (University of Copenhagen)
- Robert Stelzer (Ulm University)
Local organisers:
