script Im(x) not recognizing equationnal form

Im and Re of a complex number seems to not work for type a*I + b: It always returns 0. Re returns the whole equation... Need support for complex number with undefined a and b

What version of MathPiper and and what version of MathPiperIDE are you
using? Also, go ahead and submit the exact code you are evaluating
along with the result is it producing.
