Hello!

After a long time without using it, I am coming back to MathMap, but I
first had to build it on my current setup:

Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)
x86_64
Gimp 2.8.10

I had some difficulties because of missing dependencies, namely:

- MathMap won't compile with libgtksourceview 3.0, it needs
version 2.0
- libtool and doxygen are needed for making libnoise.

Below is are some changes I suggest for the INSTALL file. I believe they
should make the build process easier:

------------------------------------------------------------------------
--- mathmap-1.3.5/INSTALL.orig 2009-08-23 13:56:14.000000000 +0200
+++ mathmap-1.3.5/INSTALL 2015-11-26 11:07:27.950165934 +0100
@@ -17,12 +17,14 @@
MathMap requires the following software packages, including
development packages, to compile and run:

- * The GIMP 2.4
+ * The GIMP 2.4 or higher
* GSL (GNU Scientific Library), including GSL CBLAS
* fftw3
- * libgtksourceview
+ * libgtksourceview 2.0
* libjpeg, libpng, libgif (preferred) or libungif
* gettext
+ * libtool
+ * doxygen

Configuration
------------------------------------------------------------------------

The dependency on doxygen could be removed by editing the Makefile (line
150) in order not to make doc inside libnoise/noise.

Regards,

Edgar Bonet.

Thanks Edgar. I can confirm that your recipe also works on Ubuntu 15.10 with GIMP 2.8.14.
Best wishes,

Hi Edgar,

I've added a couple of my personal patches to my fork at ...
https://github.com/trathborne/mathmap
and just added yours too!

Cheers,

Tom
