Hi,

This might be a unreasonable dream but I wonder whether it is possible to have latex/mathml rendered correctly in email?  This would be very useful for me, as there are many times when I want to communicate with a colleague and have he/she not have to read the latex but have it 'faithfully' rendered.  So, is this already possible with html5 in gmail or some other mailer?  Is it a silly dream?  How could/would MathJax be hooked up to gmail to make this work?

Thanks.

There is GmailTeX available at

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/gjnmclkoadjdljnfmbnnhaahilafoeji

and a GmailTeX Chrome extension at

https://github.com/kristi/GmailTeX-Extension

so perhaps these will work for you. There is a discussion on
mathoverflow that lists these as well as some other approaches at

http://mathoverflow.net/questions/22141/how-do-i-see-latex-math-on-any-web-page-and-in-email

Hope that helps.

Davide,

Thanks.  I had gotten the GmailTeX-Extension for Chrome and it seems to work fine enough.  Thanks to Marc.
