Google Docs allows for equations. Slides does not. Does this work with Google Slides? If not, does anyone know a way to use equations with slides?

I don't know about Google Slides.

Dave Raggett's "slidy" at W3C works with MathJax,

Hi Ben,

Thanks for re-posting here.

Unfortunately not. Google Slides is a closed system that does allow users to use external libraries like MathJax.

In addition, Google Slides generates only SVG content, turning all characters into SVG paths; so even bookmarklets to run MathJax will not work since MathJax won't find any text in the published slides.

Binary images are the only option and there are a couple of Chrome extension that help here, some using MathJax internally.

Regards,
Peter.
