Hi everyone,

I am trying to get mathjax to work in a Joomla installation (latest version).

Following the documentation, I chose the most simple way and added

<script type="text/javascript" id="MathJax-script" async

src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/mathjax@3/es5/tex-mml-chtml.js">
</script>

at the end of the head.

It doesnt matter which config I use, it always leads to the following error (chrome devtools console):

MathJax(?): t.charAt is not a function

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you very much!

Tobias

It is hard to tell without seeing a live page that exhibits the issue, or what your configuration is (if any).  Can you make something like that available?

It might be that this is related to this bug

though that usually results in an error about splitText(), but I think it also causes charAt() problems in some cases.

Are you trying this on a page with lots of math, or just a test page with a single formula for testing purposes?
