hi,
When MathJax renders LaTeX input to MathML, is there a way to affect the alttext attribute of the created 'math' element?

I ask because I want to insure accessibility for use with MathPlayer. I have heard that MathPlayer needs the alttext when processing "some" complex math (anecdotal only, no concrete example yet).

I can't think of anything to put in the alttext attribute except the LaTeX source, but I guess that seems reasonable.

Anyone charted these waters before?

thanks,

MathPlayer wants MathML, not alttext.  MathJax creates MathML and MathPlayer is happy with that, so no need to do anything special.

Thanks--it sounds like my anecdotal evidence is probably just mistaken.
sorry for the noise.
