Does anyone have any experience using MathJax in squarespace?

I have attempted to use "code injection" on squarespace to place the standard MathJax header code there, but my math doesn't seem to be rendering at all.  The writer of the following blog entry claims that he/she got it to work:

but I'm not sure how because I have tried what he/she suggests to no avail.

Hi,

I don't think squarespace has come up on the User Group before and I don't know the system. However, if you can link to a page of yours where you've tried to follow those instructions, people could try to take a look if something else got in the way (beyond code insertion not working).

Regards,
Peter.

Hi Peter,

Yes here is a test url:

at the bottom, there is an instance of some MathJax that is not rendering.  That text was included as an HTML codeblock when I wrote that test block entry.

Thanks,
Josh

I just figured it out.  For the benefit of future sqaurespace users:

The MathJax renders properly only if you are viewing the site as a visitor, and not when you are logged into your squarespace account.  When you are in editing mode, the MathJax does not render.

Hi,

Thanks for following up. I can't see that post since trial blogs are not visible to the public.

But looking back at the streylab link, could it be simply the http? I.e., have you tried replacing http with https (or just the protocol agnostic //cdn.mathjax.org/...)?

Peter.

Hi Peter,

Ah!  That seems to be precisely the issue.  I changed the code in the header to the protocol agnostic version, and everything seems to work perfectly thus far even in administrative/editing mode (which automatically defaults to https not surprisingly).

Thanks a lot for the feedback.
