Storing Formula in Json within Database for Website

Hi, I would like to know, which version of MathJax is preferable to begin with.

As I am currently searching for possible ways to calling mathematical formula and storing it in database.

Can MathJax encounter any code integration, or running the formula when being called from back end of a system or website?
