Documentation for the Euro Braille option in MathJax 4.0+ beta?

Hi,

I'm looking for documentation on the 8-dot braille code being produced by the "Euro Braille" option in the MathJax 4.0.x beta versions. 

The output appears to encode parts of the LaTeX source directly into 8-dot braille using ASCII-style/computer braille mappings (using 8-dot braille allows for representation of a full ASCII character set). My attempts at Googling for "Euro Braille" in various languages has not found anything that matches what I'm seeing. 

Is there a formal description for the Euro Braille that is being produced?
