Pyramid Math sent a team of six members to HMMT last Nov, they were placed 14th , better than any team from Lexington High School.
In the MathCounts competition on Feb 1, 2014, one of the Pyramid Math team member scored No.1 for three rounds in the chapter contest. He won 4th at State MathCounts, 25th at National MathCounts. He is also qualified for USAJMO as a 7th grader.
Our students participated in different teams at LMT, gained experience, won prizes, were motivated. It is time for us to make it available for more people around us.
**When: Every Saturday evening from 7:30pm to 9:10pm (05/17/2014)
** What: 6 week small size group training session with emphasis on problem solving skill, team member meet once a week.
** Cost: $350 for seven classes and $300 for six classes.
**Where: The first class is at 17 Bowman St, Lexington MA 02421
Depending upon the number of people registered, we will possibly move to Cambridge Chinese Cultural Center @ 411 Waverley Oaks Road, Building 2, Suite 214, Waltham, MA 02452
** Participant: grade 6 to grade 8 students
** Who: the qualification of the teachers.
Xiaopeng Gong: Math Major from Peking University, founder of the Winchester Chinese School math program (http://wscc-ma.org) focus on math problem solving strategies, this program has grown from one class four years ago to seven classes now. Instructor of MathZoom summer camp ( http://www.mathzoom.org) Also taught class in Newton Chinese School and Westwood Chinese School
Jian Zhang: Math Major from University of Science and Technology of China, has been teaching math in Newton Chinese School for many years(http://www.newtonchineseschool.org), founder of the Newton Chinese School competition math program
